In year 2023 the UPTET Exam will be conducted in 75 cities by offline mode and recently, the Uttar Pradesh Government increased the validity of UPTET results from 5 years to lifelong.
UPTET Notification 2023

UP TET Eligibility Criteria 2023
For candidates, it is most important to determine before applying for the UPTET Exam in 2023 whether they are eligible or not. The UPTET Notification for 2023 will contain all the necessary eligibility criteria that candidates must fulfill.
- Educational Qualifications
- For Paper I, candidates have a 2-year elementary education diploma or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in elementary education and have completed their 10+2 with at least 50%.
- For Paper II, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in education (b.ed.) and have completed their graduation degree with a minimum of 50%.
- Candidates must have Indian citizenship, and there are no domicile restrictions for the UPTET Exam in 2023.
UPTET Exam Pattern 2023
The UPTET Exam in 2023 will be conducted in two papers – one For the candidate who wants to become a teacher for 1st to 6th grade, and the second paper is for 6th to 8th grade teacher. As per the UPTET Notification 2023, the duration of both papers was 150 minutes, which contained 150 multiple-choice questions, and there was no negative marking. To qualify for the UPTET Exam in 2023, a candidate has to score a minimum of 60% in a particular paper.
UPTET Notification 2023 Application Fees
To apply for the UPTET Exam in 2023, candidates must pay a prescribed fee. The fee structure, according to UPTET Notification 2023, was different for different categories. UR and OBC category candidates who are giving one paper from Paper-1 and Paper-2 have to pay 600 rupees, and candidates who are giving both papers have to pay 1200 rupees. SC/ST category candidates who are given one paper from Paper 1 and Paper 2 have to pay 400 rupees, and candidates who are given both papers of the UPTET exam 2023 have to pay 800 rupees.
How to Apply for UPTET Exam 2023
The UPTET Exam application process will start just after the notification 2023, and candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for the UPTET Exam 2023-
- Step 1: To apply for the UPTET Exam in 2023, candidates have to visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education at www.updeled.gov.in
- Step 2: After that, the candidate has to open the UPTET Notification 2023, scroll down, and click on the apply online button.
- Step 3: Now the candidate has to fill out all the required details, such as their personal information, educational qualifications, and contact details, in the UPTET application form.
- Step 4: Now the candidate has to attach a scan-copy of their photograph and signature to the UPTET application form and click on the submit button.
- Step 5 : After that, the candidate has to pay the application fees using a debit or credit card.
- Step 6: Now the candidate can download the UPTET application configuration form for future reference.
